I use a combination of core principles from biomechanics, scientific research in motor learning, and educational psychology as a framework. My goal is to maximize the benefits of the time I spend with students to help them learn more efficiently and take it to the golf course.
In today’s information world, it’s easy to get lost or overwhelmed. Some of what you can find on the Internet or from other sources may be good for you and your individual needs as a golfer, but much of it just won’t get you where you want to go. I listen to my players and help them take their range games to the course.
Trillium Rose is a certified teaching professional and the Director of Instruction at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland.
An innovator and lifelong learner, her knowledge of teacher effectiveness, mechanics, and practice training has proven highly successful. She has improved the games of over 2,000 individuals who rely on her cutting-edge expertise and honest and straightforward approach.
Her area of expertise is helping golfers develop their skills as quickly as possible while also helping them learn to practice efficiently. She is highly skilled at designing and implementing curriculums that develop golf athletes with targeted practice plans. Since earning a master’s degree in Motor Learning and Control from Columbia University, her formal education in the science behind how people acquire and adapt skill has set her apart.
Known for her accurate swing diagnostics and dedication to meeting students' goals with minimal disruption, she has a loyal following of students including world leaders, political figures, and A-list celebrities of all ability levels. On one side of the spectrum, she has taken single-digit handicaps down to scratch and, on the other side, she has guided novices through their first experiences on the golf course.
Perennially found on Golf Digest’s Top 50 Teachers list, the LPGA’s Top 50 Teachers list, and Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers in America list, she was honored by the PGA in 2017 as its Middle Atlantic "Teacher of the Year.” Also certified as a US Kids Master Instructor, her name has become synonymous with quality practice standards and trusted education.
Trillium lives in Washington, D.C. with her family.
